INTRODUCTION:

Kalmi Shora is the traditional name for Potassium Nitrate, a white, salty-tasting crystalline substance. It has been used in traditional medicine (like Ayurveda and Unani) for treating urinary problems, mouth ulcers, and inflammation. In modern use, it’s also found in fertilizers, food preservation, and fireworks.

 It is used in Ayurvedic treatments for asthma, with inhalation and external application (on joints) both being considered beneficial.

Digestive Problems:

Kalmi Shora is believed to help with various digestive issues, such as indigestion and bloating.

Kidney Stones:

 It may aid in flushing out kidney stones due to its diuretic properties.

Oral Health:

It can be used to strengthen gums and relieve sensitivity in teeth.

HOW TO USE:

1. For Mouth Ulcers / Sore Throat

  • How to use:
    Mix a pinch of Kalmi Shora in warm water and use it as a gargle.
  • Effect: Reduces inflammation, fights infection, and soothes pain.

2. For Urinary Problems (Painful Urination, Burning)

  • How to use:
    Mix a small pinch (around 125 mg) with honey or water and take once a day.
  • Effect: Acts as a mild diuretic and reduces burning sensation.

3. For Swelling or Inflammation (External Use)

  • How to use:
    Mix Kalmi Shora with rose water or water to make a paste and apply on the swollen area.
  • Effect: Helps reduce local swelling.

4. For Spermatorrhea / Nocturnal Emission (Unani practice)

  • How to use:
    Used in very small doses mixed with other ingredients like Misri (rock sugar) and taken under expert guidance.
  • Effect: Strengthens reproductive function (traditionally believed).

PRECAUTIONS:

Use only a pinch (125 mg or less) – never overuse
