SIDE EFFECTS:
Excessive dryness:
Overusing multani mitti can strip the skin and hair of their natural oils, leading to flaking, irritation, or even cracking. For dry or sensitive skin, it is recommended to use a multani mitti mask no more than once or twice a week and to follow up with a moisturizer.
Skin irritation and allergies:
Some individuals with sensitive skin may experience a burning sensation, redness, itching, or a rash. A patch test is recommended before applying it to the face.
Increased sun sensitivity:
Leaving a multani mitti pack on for an extended period can increase skin’s sensitivity to sunlight, raising the risk of sunburn and sun damage.
Exacerbated dryness in hair:
When used on hair, multani mitti can cause dryness, brittleness, and frizziness by stripping away natural oils.
