SINGHARA BENEFITS,SIDE EFFECTS AND THEIR USES

INTRODUCTION:

Singhara (scientific name: Trapa natans), also known as water chestnut, is an aquatic plant that grows in freshwater lakes, ponds, and slow-moving rivers. It produces edible, crunchy seeds enclosed in a hard shell, which are commonly called singhara nuts or water chestnuts. These nuts have been a staple food in many parts of Asia, particularly in India, China, and Southeast Asia, and are known for their nutritional value. Singhara nuts are rich in carbohydrates, fiber, and essential minerals such as potassium and magnesium. They are naturally gluten-free, making them suitable for people with gluten intolerance or celiac disease.
